Gun Safety

• Almost a third (31%) of Arizona households report owning a gun.  A higher percentage of Arizonans reported keeping a loaded gun (9% in Arizona compared to 7% nationally).  Arizonans were also more likely to keep loaded and unlocked guns in or around the house (6% of households in Arizona compared to 4% nationwide). 
• For Arizona households with children, 7% reported keeping a loaded gun in or around the house (compared with 6% nationally); 3% reported keeping a loaded and unlocked gun in or around the house (compared with 2% nationally).
